"'Beauty is truth, truth beauty,' - that is all ye know on earth, and all ye need to know."
--John Keats (1795-1851)

A conversation about truth and beauty with novelists Jonathan Lethem and Janna Levin.

Jonathan Lethem is the author of Motherless Brooklyn and Fortress of Solitude. He is also a prolific essayist, with a vast knowledge of popular music. Before writing fiction, Lethem was trained as an artist.

Janna Levin is a theoretical cosmologist with a PhD in theoretical physics from MIT. Her research predicts a finite universe. She also dabbles in chaos theory, black holes, topology and fractals. In 2006, she published an historical novel, A Madman Dreams of Turing Machines, featuring Kurt Gödel and Alan Turing as characters.
