BUDDY MILES, R.I.P.
Here's a rare clip ofBand of Gypsys, with drummer Buddy Miles, who passed away today. That's Billy Cox on bass, and guitar hero Jimi Hendrix playing "Who Knows?" I love this tight little R and B funk band, and the call-and-response vocals between Buddy and Jimi.
So long, Buddy.

You love the old music like I do. I have several great old songs/stories in my music section but you might want to check out this one. I'm quite sure you will instantly recognize all the albums.
Thanks, expatbrian -- I'll definitely check out the link. Yeah, I love a lot of the older music and feel it was the luck of the draw, being born in a great time for all sorts of creative ferment. I like a lot of current music, too, but back then I think there was more great music "per square inch" -- or at least it was easier for me to stumble upon.
