Finally, after all this time, Paramount Home Video has put the pieces together and released a cool box set of Twin Peaks, which includes all 29 episodes and the original pilot. Up till now, the pilot hasn't been available in the states, and you could only watch it if your DVD player was PAL-compatible. The cult favorite television series, which aired in 1990 and 1991, was created by David Lynch and Mark Frost, and follows Special Agent Dale Cooper as he attempts to solve the murder of Laura Palmer in the fictitious town of Twin Peaks, Washington. The show was filmed primarily in North Bend and Snoqualmie, a short drive east of Seattle. The first season was brilliant TV, even if the second went off the rails, a subject Lynch addresses in the Special Features. Properly viewed with cherry pie and a cup of damn fine coffee.
